Cool Conjunctions

We have been learning about joining together sentences using joining words (conjunctions)

Mrs Ware wanted sentences that
- used a good conjunction (instead of 'and' 'but' 'or')
- had some WOW words
- had only 1 captial letter
- had a fullstop

Here are some of her favourites

My dog scatters across the grass because I chuck dog biscuits and he tries to catch them.
Mila Wishnowsky

The wolf ran faster and faster and faster until he went too fast and tripped over a branch and fell down a steep hill
Braxton Bell

The cute, tiny baby rabbit pranced and skipped across the river where she hoped she would find some delicious food
Katie Fellowes

The Zebra ran across the green grass because a lion came to eat him.
Zeke Ferguson

The baby owls waited patiently while the wood peckers swooped across the beautiful blue sky.
Sara Petuha

The white, fluffy bunny bounced high...high... high as he caught his prey when it was not looking.
Riley Burke

The president turned on pop music because he loved to dance.
Logan Ide

The black, fluffy snow dog was waiting patiently for his prey, when suddenly, SNAP!
Ryder Moore

The tiger sprinted as fast as he could so that he could catch the rushing reindeer.

Tim in Minion

We have a new class member! Meet Tim the Minion.

He met Mrs Ware in the holidays and though that Rm12 sounded like so much fun that we would come along. Here he is at the Huka falls with Mrs Ware's children Lily and Olivia.

Tim will be going home with someone different each week to have some adventures. Unique took him home last week and here is her story.

Earth, Sun and Moon

We started our new topic today and learnt about how the Earth and Moon move. We watched an animation on youtube  (you tube video)

Then Mrs Ware taught us a song. Here we are singing it!

Then we all went outside and tried to orbit (go around) and orbit (spin) like the Earth and Moon do. Some of us got very dizzy. Riley, Giana and Belle did a great job.
